Was but half-full.
Missing
Were all the words
That once filled
The fullness
Of the empty top half of
That bottle of ink.

Historical Reality:
The Bottle of ink?
The one we share?
The one that chronicles
All time?
It was never full
Nor was it ever empty.
Freud filled his pen from it.
So do we.
