Abstract

At age 82, I value the liberating joys of old age. Since aging is a natural process, I live life as it is and enjoy it. My motto is to “live long and prosper!”

Merle Heidi Molofsky, MFA, NCPsyA, LP, is a licensed psychoanalyst in private practice in New York State and a writer. Her writings include articles in professional journals and chapters in psychoanalytic books, fiction, and poetry. Her play, Grail Green (1971), was performed at Lincoln Center. International Psychoanalytic Books has published a volume of her poetry, Sh’Ma, I Hear Voices (2024); her novel, Streets 1970 (2015); her collection of short fiction, Necessary Voices (2018); and a volume she edited, Jew-Hating: The Black Milk of Civilization (2023).
