Abstract

This review examines Weil’s The Wanderings of Isaac André Gedalia: A Memoir. The magical realism component of the narrative allows the reader to journey alongside this grieving duo, confronting questions about the intergenerational transmission of trauma and the human need to make sense of loss. The book succeeds in immersing the reader in the pain and love in their relationship.
