Abstract

Inspired by Freddie and Truus Oversteegen and Hannie Schaft, teenage members of the Dutch WWII resistance, this poem reflects fearlessness as moral formation. Raised by a mother who hid Jewish families, the girls learned early how conscience, courage, and history are transmitted across generations.
