Abstract

This imaginative psychobiographic sketch interweaves real people’s lives and fantasies. The author has studied and consulted with workplace organizations for decades and has learned about executives’ and employees’ lives. This poem is inspired by “connecting the dots” between many leaders’ brutal and neglectful childhoods and their later leadership styles.

Howard F. Stein, PhD, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, has contributed many poems and articles to the Journal of Psychohistory, Clio’s Psyche, and many other print and online literary journals/magazines over many years.
