This article argues that the alarming rate of student suicides in India is not merely an individual psychological crisis but a symptom of a deeply troubled and apathetic society. The author offers a therapeutic vision, emphasizing the need for a shift from a culture of emotional numbness to one of empathic attunement and collective grieving, advocating for communal rituals of healing that have been lost to the modern world.
