At our next Psychohistory Forum Work-In-Progress Saturday Seminar on April 28, 2007 Ken Fuchsman (University of Connecticut) will present “The Psychology of Atrocity in Guerrilla Warfare.”

MEETINGS: The FPR-UCLA Interdisciplinary Conference will be held on March 30-April 1, 2007 at UCLA; the 30^th Annual Int. Psychohistorical Ass. (IPA) meetings will be in Manhattan on June 6-8, 2007; the 30^th annual meetings of the Int. Society of Political Psych. (ISPP) will be in Portland Oregon on July 3-6, 2007, and the “Humanistic Psychotherapies for the 21st Century” conference will be held on August 14-16, 2007 in San Francisco.

BOOKS: Congratulations to Ralph Colp on the University Press of Florida accepting To Be An Invalid: The Illness of Charles Darwin for republication with Darwin’s “Diary of Health” and much other new information; to Robert (Bob) Collins on the 2006 publication by Columbia University of his Transforming America: Politics and Culture In The Reagan Years; to Ruth Meyer for the forthcoming publication by Spring Journal Publishers of Clio’s Circle: Entering the Imaginal World of Historians; to George Victor on the recent publication of The Pearl Myth: Rethinking the Unthinkable (Potomac Books, 2007); (Victor is also making excellent progress on Christian Fundamentalism and Genocide); and to Daniel Burstein for the 2007 publication of Erik Erikson and the American Psyche: Ego, Ethics, and Evolution.

NOTES: As chair of the China Development Committee of the International Psychoanalytic Association Peter Loewenberg will be training colleagues in Shanghai from May 12-17, 2007. John V. Knapp (e-mail: ) has assumed the editorship of the literary journal, Style, which welcomes essays on the new psychologies as well as on pedagogy in addition to stylistic and narrative essays.
