Alasdair Spark, PhD, is Head of the American Studies Department at King Alfred’s College of Higher Education, Winchester, England. He is the author of numerous articles on subjects such as the Vietnam War, contemporary America, and conspiracy theories, most recently “A New World to Order” in Alan Sandison (ed.), Histories of the Future (2000).
