Jerome A. Chanes, ABD, an adjunct professor at Baruch College of the City University of New York, is the author or editor of five books and more than 100 articles, scholarly papers, reviews, book chapters, and encyclopedia entries on a range of Jewish public affairs, history, and arts and letters. His most recent book is The Future of Judaism in America (Mark Silk, co-editor; Springer, 2023). Forthcoming is a book setting a historical, political, and sociological context for a hundred years of Israeli theatre (Academic Studies Press). His scholarly work is in the arenas of Jewish communal structures in the U.S. and internationally; performing arts, primarily Israeli theatre; antisemitism; and the history of Israel and Zionism.
