Nathan Gerard, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Director of the Graduate Program in Health Care Administration at California State University, Long Beach, and a Research Associate of the Center for Psychosocial Organization Studies. Nathan received his PhD from Columbia University in Social-Organizational Psychology with a focus on the psychoanalytic study of organizations. His research spans the intersection of psychology, psychoanalysis, and social theory, with particular emphasis on the topics of motivation, meaning, creativity, care, and alienation at work.
