Norman F. Cantor, PhD, recently retired from the History Department of New York University, is currently a writer living in Florida. He has published 16 works of history of which there are one million copies in print. His forthcoming book, In The Wake of the Plague: The Black Death and The World It Made, is to be published in May, 2001.
