TRAVEL: Norman Simms and his wife Martha have been touring the USA and Europe on their way from New Zealand to his new position at Ben Gurion University in Israel where he plans to spread psychohistorical knowledge this fall.

CONDOLENCES: To the family of Manfred Kanther, a psychiatrist and long-time member from Moorestown, New Jersey, who died last December 20 at the age of 69.
MEETINGS: The fall program of the Forum will start on September 16 when Rutgers professors Virginia Yans McLaughlin and Ted Goertzel will, respectively, present on the psychobiography of Margaret Mead and Linus Pauling. On November 4 James Huffman will present “In Sickness and In Health: A Psychological Approach to American Culture.” THE Clio’s Psyche SPECIAL STUDENT EDITION (48 pages) is available for classroom use. It was created at the suggestion of David Beisel of SUNY-RCC and with the encouragement of Peter Loewenberg of UCLA. The cost to students of $9 in bookstores includes a free forthcoming issue of Clio’s.

PSYCHOHISTORICAL AWARDS: In 1995 Eli Saretsky of the University of Missouri has won a Robert J. Stoller Postdoctoral Prize of $1,000 and Sarah Caldwell of the University of California at Berkeley has won a Stoller Predoctoral Award. Jeffrey Bass and Barbara Frantz have won the Hayman Endowment Fellowships of $5,000 which are granted to University of California postdoctoral students.
